What Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a contact form or request a quote, we collect what you choose to share, usually your name, ranch or business name, email address, phone number, details about your sale, and any message you send.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, standard analytics information is collected, including your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit and how you arrived at the site.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide quotes
- To communicate with you about our services
- To improve our website
- To follow up if you have shown interest in our platform
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site. We use:
- Google Analytics to measure traffic and usage
- HubSpot to manage our contact forms and customer relationships
You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.
How We Share Information
We share information only with the service providers that help us run our website and respond to inquiries:
- HubSpot (contact forms and customer relationship management)
- Google Analytics (website analytics)
- Cloudflare (website security and performance)
These providers may use your information only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
A Note About Sale Websites We Build
We build and host sale websites for individual ranches and sale organizers. The buyer information collected on those sale websites belongs to the ranch or organizer running the sale, not to us. We do not market to buyers or use buyer data for our own purposes. Some sellers engage us to send sale emails to their own registered buyers on their behalf. Those emails use only that seller's buyer list, are approved by the seller before they go out, and include an unsubscribe option. If you are a buyer with a question about how your information is used, contact the ranch or organizer running that sale.
Data Retention
We keep the information you give us for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and keep our business records, or as required by law.
Text Message (SMS) Program
Online Livestock Auctions, operated by Exceleration Designs, Inc. (doing business as Big Sky Internet Design), offers optional text-message alerts to registered buyers who opt in.
Information we collect. When you opt in, we collect your mobile phone number and a record of your consent: the date, time, the wording you agreed to, and technical details such as your IP address.
How we use it. Only to send the alerts you signed up for (registration confirmations, bid confirmations, outbid alerts and win or purchase notifications) and to manage your subscription (confirmation, HELP and STOP).
We do not sell or share your number for marketing. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in or consent information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
No mobile information is shared with third parties for marketing. We share your number only with our messaging provider (Twilio) as needed to deliver these messages for us, and as required by law.
Frequency and rates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to cancel, or HELP for help. You can also contact us at [email protected] or (979) 217-1544.
Retention. We keep consent and opt-out records as needed to document compliance.
